Although Norfolk International Airport is in close driving proximity, it does not always offer the best rates on flights. In my experience, flying in or out of Washington Dulles International, Baltimore Washington International, or Newark Liberty International airports have given me the best airline ticket pricing for flying overseas.

#2 Traveling Tip

When preparing to travel overseas, I give myself time to go to a bank and exchange currency there so I can get the best rate. I avoid using airport or train stations for the exchange because they tend to inflate their rates for a profit. Having plenty of cash on hand is important because credit card machines are less prevalent overseas than here. A little preparation ahead of time can save lot on unnecessary expenses later during your trip.
